Hailed as a “musical universe” by Chick Corea, Jason Lindner first gained acclaim for his long-running Big Band, whose raw energy earned them a release on Coreaʼs label. Lindner has served as musical director for Lauryn Hill and Claudia Acuña, and collaborated with Meshell Ndegeocello, who produced his recent release Jason Lindner Gives You Now Vs Now. The Brooklyn-native grew up on hip hop and learned to play jazz from elders like Barry Harris and Chris Anderson, then further expanded his musical palette to include African, Afro-Caribbean, South American and middle-Eastern music, all informing his own compositional style. The New York Times wrote, “Rhythm provides more than a heartbeat for the pianist Jason Lindner. It also seems to fuel his respiratory functions and digestive activity, and maybe his neurons. What matters to him is groove, however it comes.”

Jason Lindner attended the Mannes College of Music and the New School, where he is an adjunct faculty member.

He appears on over 35 recordings, 5 as a leader.

Throughout his musical career he has been both able and fortunate enough to have shared stage and/or studio with many incredible artists including Meshell Ndegeocello (2006-2009), Lauryn Hill (musical director 2004), Amel Larrieux, Matisyahu, Paul Simon, Mark Guiliana’s Beat Music, Dafnis Prieto's Proverb Trio & Absolute Quintet, Chick Corea, Roy Haynes, Omer Avital, Claudia Acuña, Christian McBride, Branford Marsalis, Elvin Jones, Lionel Loueke, Mark Turner, Donny Mccaslin, Bill Cosby, Roy Hargrove, Baba Isreal, Open Thought, Kokayi, Pharaoh's Daughter, Pink Noise, The Henry Mancini Orchestra, Dakota Staton, Avishai Cohen, Jeff Ballard, Anat Cohen, Jon Hendricks, James Moody, Junior Cook, James Hurt, Miguel Zenon, Lou Donaldson, Clarence "C" Sharpe, Jimmy Vass, Jimmy Lovelace, Vernel Fournier, Alon Olearchik, Marina Maximilian Blumin, Oliver Dragojavic, Paquito D’Rivera, Dafnis Prieto, Edmar Castañeda, Husnu Senlendirici, Avi Lebovich, The Rotterdam Jazz Orchestra, Eva Ayalon, Juan Sebastian Monsalve, Malika Zarra, Yosvany Terry, Curupira.
